This work was made to pay tribute to Shakespeare’s tragic love story of Juliet Capulet and Romeo Montague in Verona. The sculpture tries to capture the joy and
hopelessness of their love for one another while their families feud around them. The piece was executed in Cardinal wood, an exceptionally hard, bright red wood from Brazil.
